I practice as a Licensed Psychoanalyst and Marriage and Family Therapist in New York City and Great Neck, Long. I have been in private clinical practice since 1975. I obtained a Ph.D. in Psychology in 1978 and a certificate as a Psychoanalyst in 1981. I am a licensed Psychoanalyst in New York and a nationally Accredited Psychoanalyst.
I presently have two Psychoanalytic Training Institute affiliations where I serve as a Training Analyst, Supervisor, and faculty member. I have been a Founder, Dean of Training and have served on the Board of Trustees of several Psychoanalytic Training Institutes.
I frequently conduct psychotherapeutic seminars that integrate theory and treatment. I am skilled in the process-oriented workshop where learning is experienced through group interaction. Currently, I am focusing on the relationship between evolutionary principles and psychoanalytic theory, as well as the application of psychoanalytic practice to financial and economic issues. My psychoanalytic papers have addressed clinical and theoretical issues in the treatment of pre-oedipal, narcissitic and borderline personality disorders.
I am a professional member of the Society of Modern Psychoanalysts, the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis, where I have served as Chairman of the Accreditation Committee and Administrative and Research Assistant to the President, the American Psychological Association and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
